Wintertime in SoCal

Hi everyone!  I am joining up with some of my fellow SoCal bloggers for a FUN giveaway and to share some of our wintertime activities!

Winter in SoCal takes on so many meanings.  As I look on social media this time of year, I see all of the funny <but so true> memes that pop up about the "harsh winter" we have here in SoCal.

Although we don't have all of the elements of winter here in SoCal, there are so many wintertime activities that we enjoy doing!

One FUN activity that my family enjoys doing each year is whale watching!  From Jan-March, there is a whale migration that occurs right off of our local coasts!

Every year, we go out in the hopes of seeing whales.  This year, we went out and saw a humpback and it was AWESOME!

Something else we enjoy here in SoCal is the Boat Parade during December.  It's become a tradition of ours, and this year, instead of being a spectator, we were on a boat in the parade!  My daughters and I LOVED it!

As a former ice skater myself, I always feel the "itch" to get in the rink during the winter time!  We always go during our winter vacation, and try to hit up a few of the outdoor rinks that pop-up around SoCal too!

Winter in SoCal can be so much fun!  Find out what some of the rest of us here in SoCal do for fun during the winter!  Keep on "hopping" by clicking on the blog button below:

Also, please enjoy a winter-themed freebie from my TpT store.---History from the Middle.  This is a great activity to do in January AND incorporates some technology!

I'd love to hear what you do during the winter time for fun with friends and family...Comment below!!

  1. I LOVE the parade of boats! Some of them really go all out. So cool that you were actually on a boat this year (though I imagine it was cooold)
